Ok— So I am changing our assignments so that we can make this work!!
- Blackboard Quizzes— There will be 10 Blackboard Quizzes. They will all be online in our course Blackboard shell. They are timed tests and you will have 15 minutes for them. You can use the notes and the readings. (Each quiz is 20 points, for a total of 200 points)
- Sociology Paper– There will be only 1 paper this semester. I will give you details later in the semester on the paper. It will be worth 100 points
- We will continue our online discussions in the Class Forums— but you will not need to respond to students (although you can if you want!). I just want all of be able to see/share what we are thinking about the readings. (There will be 5 Online Discussions each at 40 points for a total of 200 points).
- Blackboard Journals. I have set up Blackboard Journals where each week you will write to me about the readings/your reactions/questions. This is private between you and I. This is a space for you to work out the ideas in class after you listen to my lectures and do the readings. (The journal will be 100 points total)
- Midterm and Final. We will have a Midterm and Final Exam. It will be online but I am not sure of the format yet. It will probably be in Blackboard. I will give you details closer to the time. Each exam will be worth 200 points
- Online Forums. We will have several forums during the semester. Here you just need to respond to the questions, not necessarily respond to other students. (there will be 5 forums for a total of 200 points)
